Vintage Native American Ceremonial Rattle With Leather, Fringe, Fur And Bells. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box.
Beautiful native american rattle. It is made from some type of seed pod and wrapped in leather. The leather has been fringed on the bottom as seen in pictures. The fur wrapped around the handle is very very soft. I believe it to be rabbit fur but I cannot confirm. There are long leather strings that hang from the handle and multiple bells dangle from it so as you create the rattle sound you also hear a melodic chorus of bells simultaneously.
This instrument has an old native feel to it. I am hoping it goes to a home that respects it and its history. It is in good condition commensurate with age. Im guessing this was made in the 70s, maybe older.
Dimensions: 18" long x 2" wide (the fur makes it a little wider)
