    The 2023
    National Indigenous Peoples Day
commemorative circulation coin celebrates First Nations, Inuit, and Métis art and cultures. Your coin comes from a colourized Special Wrap Roll, and has the colour-enhanced design from the three artists, who weaved together their individual expressions to form a powerful ode to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis cultures and heritages.
    Special features
    A shared national celebration.
While National Indigenous Peoples Day (June 21) is the national day devoted to celebrating the diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada, this coin is an open-ended invitation to learn about and honour First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples and their histories and heritages.
    A unique collaboration.
As the creative voices of their distinct identities and experiences, three artists worked together to create a powerful, combined design – a first for a circulation coin.
    A special celebration.
These coins all feature the same gorgeous design on the coin’s reverse.
    All are uncirculated coins.
This coin has not been circulated—it has a newly minted quality.
    DID YOU KNOW?
    The
    National Indigenous Peoples Day
commemorative circulation coin is the first circulation piece to feature a reverse design by three individual artists. Taking a cooperative approach, the three artists – Megan Currie, English River First Nation, Myrna Pokiak (Agnaviak), Inuvialuit Settlement Region and Jennine Krauchi, Red River Métis – actively developed the design together, weaving together their individual expressions to form a powerful ode to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis cultures and heritages.
    PHOTOS:
Note that the photos I post in my listings are all from my own inventory.  However, for items like this one where the products are brand new from the mint and are identical the photo posted in the listing is a STOCK photo meaning that the photos
    represent
the item you will be getting.  Photos are taken in natural light so sometimes there's a slightly WARMER reddish or brownish tone to the photos.....this is just because they're taken in front of a large window in order to represent them to you as honestly as possible. Normally there is almost no difference between the photo you see in the listing and the actual product you are sent. Certificate numbers (if shown in a photo) are an example of something that will not be the same in the item you receive.
