Vehicle Details2005 Anniversary Model Ford Thunderbird. It has heated seats. This car is very unique in that it has a tan top and tan seats, a tan steering wheel cover, and a tan leather covered gear shift knob.99% of these cars were made with solid black interiors. A few had colored inserts in the seats.Anyone who knows anything about convertibles knows that a convertible with black seats can be excruciatingly hot and very uncomfortable.Sadly, the designers of this car were obviously not convertible lovers, and the all black interiors of all but a very few of these cars made this car undesirable to those who knew better. As this car was about to end its run, the people at Ford wised up and added this car with a tan interior. I once read that only 109 of these cars were made. At the very end, they added an exterior color called "Cashmere" for women owners and it had an all white interior. Only one other model didn't have a black interior. It was the Pacific Coast Highway model and it had a grey interior and a sea green exterior, which were not compatible colors. Consequently, the only car that Ford made of this vintage that was desirable for T-Bird and convertible lovers is the one I'm selling that has tan seats, a tan steering wheel, and a tan leather gear shift handle. We bought this car from an estate and it had hardly been driven. When I was a teenager, the 1955, 56, and 57 T-Birds came out and they were extremely popular cars. One of my neighbors, a doctor, had one, and I saw him drive it home from work every day. This is how my love affair with T-Birds began. My mother got a new midnight blue T-Bird coupe in 1961,and several years later, it became my first car. My wife swears that it isn't true, but I'm convinced that the only reason why she married me was because I owned this car. The biggest mistake of my life was trading it for an Oldsmobile Cutlass in 1966. How stupid could one human get? I eventually made up for this mistake by buying this car for my wife. However, since we live in Kentucky, it could only be driven, at most, half of the year because of our cold falls and winters. Which we are experiencing now. The great advantage that this car has, insofar as intamacy 's concerned, it's a two-seater, is also a disadvantage, since there's little room for much else inside, and this is why we rarely drove it these last few years. We don't go out much anymore. So, it's had little use. And why we belive it's wise for it to acquire a new owner. My wife's mother was told by her doctor not to drive anymore. He was right because she backed into our car and put some small dents in the driver's side door. We live in an old neighborhood that has many old trees and a branch fell and put a dent in the top of the passenger side door. The convertible top is less than pristene. Winter is the very best time to buy a convertible, but not a great time to take pictures of one, especially this winter. if you're seriously interested in owning one of these cars, you know what one looks like. The inside of ours shows no wear. I've priced it a little high due to the rarity of the tan top, seats, steering wheel, and leather cover gearshift handle. I've seen hundreds of these cars, but I've never seen one like ours with a tan interior. I suspect that the other 108 of them reside in warmer climates. This car has an incredible sound system and it goes very fast. Too fast for us now. I can assure you that it turns heads because there are no other U.S. cars that have its heritage. You can contact me if you have any questions, and when it gets warmer, I'll take some more pictures. I can assit with the shipping. I have this car listed in other places and if I get an offer through any of them, I reserve the right to reject any offers that come through eBay.
